Friendly staff waiting to help you at the library

The UAA/APU Consortium Library would like to welcome everyone back to the stacks for the fall semester – as always we offer a friendly staff, helpful librarians, and a wide variety of resources to support student success. For those of you who are new to campus, we hope you’ll get a chance to visit the library as soon as possible. You’ll find that it suits many needs - whether you need to study quietly, meet with a group, or get personalized research help.

There are several ways to get to know the many facets of the library, including our self-guided audio tour. Stop by the Circulation Desk to check out an MP3 player and headphones and soon you’re off to explore all three floors of our extensive facility. Got a smart phone and your own pair of ear buds? Then skip the Circulation Desk altogether and take the tour at your own pace by scanning the QR codes at each step. You’ll get a half hour overview of the various library collections and services, and enjoy a nice stroll at the same time.

If you’re interested in learning how to use our wonderful materials and collections, it’s not too late to register for LS 101: Library Resources and Information Retrieval. This one credit, web-based course is taught by one of our librarians and will provide you with invaluable research skills to use throughout your college career (and beyond).

The UAA/APU Consortium Library is open longer than most other buildings on campus. Regular semester hours are:
7:30 a.m.– 11 p.m. Monday – Thursday
7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday
10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday
12 p.m. – 11 p.m. Sunday

Even when you are unable to visit, you can rest assured that the library’s catalog, electronic resources, and databases are available 24/7 via our website: www.consortiumlibrary.org. We look forward to seeing you soon to help provide the materials and support you need to study well. Here’s to a great semester!
